Description
Discover the easiest way to make delicious smash burger sliders right in your kitchen! These sliders feature juicy beef patties with crispy edges, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
- Slider Buns
- American Cheese Slices
- Onion (Yellow or Red)
- Dill Pickle Slices
- Special Burger Sauce (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, garlic powder)
- Neutral Oil (Canola, Vegetable, or Grapeseed)
- Salt
- Black Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a large, heavy-duty sheet pan inside for at least 20-30 minutes.
- Form your ground beef into loose, 2-ounce balls and prepare your cheese slices, onions, pickles, and special sauce. Slice your slider buns in half.
- Carefully remove the hot sheet pan from the oven and drizzle a tablespoon or two of neutral oil onto it, spreading it quickly.
- Place the beef balls onto the hot, oiled sheet pan and use a sturdy spatula to firmly press each ball down into a thin patty.
- Generously season the tops of your smashed patties with salt and black pepper. Place the sheet pan back into the oven for 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the sheet pan from the oven, flip each patty, and add thin slices of onion on top if desired. Immediately top each patty with a slice of American cheese.
- Toast the open-faced slider buns on the sheet pan or above the burgers in the oven.
- Return the sheet pan to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly toasted.
- Assemble your sliders by transferring the cheesy patties to the bottom halves of the toasted buns, adding pickles, onions, and special sauce before capping with the top buns.
