  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Stir in yeast until frothy; set aside. In another bowl, mix flour, salt, and melted butter.
  2. Knead: Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  3. Create filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Spread this mixture over rolled-out dough.
  4. Roll & slice: Roll dough tightly into a log and cut into even slices.
  5. Bake: Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise again before baking at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk for desired consistency; drizzle over warm rolls.
