Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to around 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into ½-inch thick rounds and lay them out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Brush each baguette slice with extra virgin olive oil, then sprinkle lightly with salt and black pepper.
  3. Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for about 8-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Let them cool slightly.
  4. Prepare the mozzarella by slicing it into thin rounds or tearing it into bite-sized pieces, ensuring it is well-drained and patted dry.
  5. Assemble the crostini by placing a slice of mozzarella on each toasted bread round.
