Description

Indulge in a warm and comforting Sourdough Pesto Grilled Cheese that combines the rich flavors of melted sharp cheddar, aromatic basil pesto, and crispy sourdough bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil pesto
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread one side of each slice of sourdough bread with basil pesto.
  3. Layer sharp cheddar cheese on the pesto side of one slice.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, pesto side down.
  5. Melt butter in the skillet and add the sandwich.
  6. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted, pressing gently with a spatula.
