Description

Cranberry Brie Bombs are a delicious appetizer featuring buttery pastry, creamy brie, and sweet-tart cranberries. These treats are easy to prepare and perfect for holiday gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 (8 ounce) wheel brie cheese, cut into 16 pieces
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Cut the puff pastry into 16 equal squares.
  3. Place one piece of brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
  4. Top each brie piece with about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  5. Carefully bring the corners of the puff pastry squares up and pinch them together at the top to seal, forming a bomb shape. Ensure the cranberry brie bombs are well sealed to prevent filling from leaking.
  6. Arrange the cranberry brie bombs on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the cranberry brie bombs with the beaten egg wash.
  8. Sprinkle the turbinado sugar over the tops of the cranberry brie bombs.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cranberry brie bombs are golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let the cranberry brie bombs cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can use homemade or store-bought cranberry sauce for these cranberry brie bites.
  • For a touch of extra flavor, add a sprinkle of fresh rosemary or thyme to your cranberry brie bombs before baking.
  • These cranberry brie appetizers are best served warm.
  • Leftover cranberry brie bombs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the oven.
