Description

A delightful, bite-sized culinary adventure featuring fiery jalapeños mellowed by a rich, tangy cream cheese filling, enhanced with savory crumbled beef bacon and a crispy breadcrumb topping. Perfect for any gathering!


Ingredients

  • 12 large jalapeno peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 oz crumbled cooked beef bacon
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Wearing gloves, wash and dry 12 large jalapeño peppers. Slice each lengthwise, then carefully remove all seeds and membranes. Rinse and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled cooked beef bacon, cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter.
  4. Generously fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the filling of each popper.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange filled poppers on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until peppers are tender and the breadcrumb topping is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Allow poppers to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
