- 12 large jalapeno peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 oz crumbled cooked beef bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Wearing gloves, wash and dry 12 large jalapeño peppers. Slice each lengthwise, then carefully remove all seeds and membranes. Rinse and pat dry.
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled cooked beef bacon, cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter.
- Generously fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the filling of each popper.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange filled poppers on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until peppers are tender and the breadcrumb topping is golden brown and crispy.
- Allow poppers to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
