Ingredients

- 6 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 (16 oz) package gnocchi (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Increase heat slightly and add ground beef, cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in uncooked gnocchi along with ketchup and mustard. Add a splash of water if needed. Cover and simmer until gnocchi are tender.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, cover again until melted, then gently mix everything together.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
