Description

Delicious Goat Cheese Appetizer with Fig Jam & Pecans

Ingredients

  • Fresh goat cheese log or disc
  • Fig jam
  • Pecans
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if you prefer your appetizer warm.
  2. Carefully unwrap your goat cheese log or disc and place it in a small, shallow oven-safe dish or a rustic terra cotta baking dish.
  3. Spread the fig jam evenly over the top and slightly down the sides of the goat cheese.
  4. Evenly scatter the roughly chopped pecans over the layer of fig jam.
  5. Place the dish in your preheated oven and bake for about 8-12 minutes, or until the goat cheese is slightly softened and warm to the touch.
  6. Once removed from the oven, drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired, and garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary.
  7. Serve immediately with an assortment of dippers like warm baguette slices, crispy crostini, or gourmet crackers.
