Ingredients
- Fresh goat cheese log or disc
- Fig jam
- Pecans
- Honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
- Extra virgin olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if you prefer your appetizer warm.
- Carefully unwrap your goat cheese log or disc and place it in a small, shallow oven-safe dish or a rustic terra cotta baking dish.
- Spread the fig jam evenly over the top and slightly down the sides of the goat cheese.
- Evenly scatter the roughly chopped pecans over the layer of fig jam.
- Place the dish in your preheated oven and bake for about 8-12 minutes, or until the goat cheese is slightly softened and warm to the touch.
- Once removed from the oven, drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired, and garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary.
- Serve immediately with an assortment of dippers like warm baguette slices, crispy crostini, or gourmet crackers.
