- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Ensure your shrimp are completely thawed, peeled, and deveined.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side.
- Using tongs, flip the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are pink and opaque.
- Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the cooked shrimp, stirring to combine flavors.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
