Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, lightly greased.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy natural almond butter, maple syrup (or honey), eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Add the protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, and baking soda to the wet mixture.
- Gently fold and mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- If using, fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
- Spoon the thick brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for moist crumbs on a toothpick inserted into the center.
- Once baked, let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing.
