Double Chocolate Chai Tahini Cookies are rich, chocolatey treats infused with chai spices.

- 1 cup tahini (smooth)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chai spice blend (or more to taste)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sea salt for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the tahini, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and chai spice blend until evenly mixed.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- If desired, lightly sprinkle some sea salt over the tops of the cookies for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve your cookies warm or at room temperature, enjoying each delicious bite!
