Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1.5 lbs)
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix (1 oz)
- 1 packet brown gravy mix (1 oz)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
- ½ cup sour cream
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, ranch dressing mix, brown gravy mix, chicken broth, and sour cream until smooth.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of a 6-quart (or larger) slow cooker.
- Pour the prepared soup mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours, or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and easily shreds with a fork.
- Carefully remove the cooked chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the gravy until thoroughly coated.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve warm, garnished with fresh chopped parsley. Excellent over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
