Creamy Shrimp and Corn Skillet is a delightful dish that combines shrimp and corn in a rich creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup corn (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they become translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Once the shrimp are cooked, add the corn to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  6. Gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Add thyme, adjusting the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
