Description

Deliciously fudgy brownies decorated to resemble Christmas gifts, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • Red, green, and white candy melts (for decoration)
  • Mini candy bows or holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Whisk in sugar until smooth. Let cool slightly, then add eggs and vanilla, whisking until thick and glossy.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until smooth. Optionally fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
  5. Lift brownies out of the pan, cut into squares. Melt candy melts and drizzle over brownies to resemble ribbons. Add mini bows or sprinkles.
  6. Allow decorations to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes before serving.
