Description

A delicious bake combining cauliflower, ground turkey, and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1.0 medium head cauliflower
  • 1.0 pound ground turkey
  • 1.0 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1.0 cup ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.0 cup spinach
  • 1.0 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1.0 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • for garnish fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cauliflower florets and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until turkey is browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked turkey, boiled cauliflower, chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  5. Transfer the turkey and cauliflower mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese over the top. If using, add breadcrumbs for a crunchy topping.
  7. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
