- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup black sesame seeds, toasted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
- In a skillet, toast the black sesame seeds over medium heat until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add in the mini marshmallows, stirring continuously until fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix in the granulated sugar if you prefer a sweeter treat.
- Once the marshmallows are melted, remove from heat. Gently fold in the toasted black sesame seeds and Rice Krispies cereal until all is well-coated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Press evenly into the pan with a spatula. A light drizzle of oil on the spatula can prevent sticking.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until set.
- Once cool, cut into squares or bars. Enjoy!
