Description

This Spaghetti Garlic Bread combines the comforting flavors of perfectly cooked spaghetti with the mouthwatering crunch of garlic bread. It’s a simple yet delightful dish that will impress your family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g Spaghetti
  • 3 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
  • 100g Unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp Fresh chopped parsley
  • 50g Grated Parmesan or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil (optional substitute for butter)
  • 100g Vegan butter alternative (optional substitute for butter)
  • 1 tbsp Dried parsley (optional substitute for fresh parsley)
  • 2 tbsp Nutritional yeast (optional substitute for cheese)
  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water for later.
  2. While the spaghetti cooks, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Stir in the chopped parsley into the garlic butter. If you’re using dried parsley, add it a minute earlier to help release its flavor.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained spaghetti with the garlic butter mixture. Toss well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated. If it seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice a loaf of French or Italian bread in half lengthwise. Spread the remaining garlic butter evenly on both halves. Top with grated cheese if desired.
  6. Place the garlic bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and golden brown.
  7. Plate your spaghetti alongside the warm garlic bread. Enjoy your delicious meal!
