Description
Ravioli in Creamy Tuscan Sauce is a delicious and satisfying dish that combines tender ravioli with a rich and flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (about 12 ounces) ravioli (cheese-filled or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for some heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the ravioli according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Stir well to combine and allow the mixture to simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the chopped spinach, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Cook until the spinach wilts down, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
- Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
- Gently toss the cooked ravioli into the sauce, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Remove from heat, and if desired, top with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil or parsley for added flavor and presentation.
- Serve immediately and watch as everyone at the table falls in love with this creamy dish!
Notes
- Incorporate grilled chicken, shrimp, or Italian sausage for a heartier meal.
