Description

A delightful Crock Pot Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta recipe that combines tender chicken, pasta, and a flavorful creamy Cajun sauce. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions, offering a delicious and memorable meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta, cooked
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your Crock Pot.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Generously season the chicken with the spice mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and heavy cream.
  5. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken in the Crock Pot.
  6. Add the softened cream cheese to the liquid in the Crock Pot.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  8. Remove the chicken from the Crock Pot and shred it using two forks.
  9. Return the shredded chicken to the Crock Pot and stir to combine with the creamy sauce.
  10. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little more chicken broth or heavy cream until it reaches your desired consistency.
  11. Serve the creamy Cajun chicken mixture over cooked fettuccine pasta.
  12. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to control the spice level.
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a richer flavor.
  • For an extra creamy texture, use full-fat cream cheese and heavy cream.
  • If you don’t have condensed cream of chicken soup, you can substitute it with 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a little water.
