Description

This Irresistible Can Taco Soup recipe is a simple and delicious way to enjoy a flavorful meal. It uses common canned ingredients for a quick and easy preparation, perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) corn, drained
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, crushed tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and cook for 1 minute more, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans, diced tomatoes and green chilies, corn, condensed tomato soup, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth to the pot.
  4. Stir everything together until well combined.
  5. Bring the soup to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. For an even more irresistible taco soup, simmer for longer, up to an hour.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a diced jalapeño when cooking the onions.
  • You can substitute chicken broth for beef broth if preferred.
  • This Irresistible Can Taco Soup can be made ahead of time and reheated.
