Ingredients

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium optional)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into oval-shaped patties (about 1-inch thick).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties until browned on both sides (about 4 minutes each). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté additional onions if desired until translucent. Add beef broth and soy sauce; scrape up browned bits and simmer.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Let the gravy thicken slightly over low heat.
  5. Return patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy for 5-10 minutes until heated through.
