- ½ cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium optional)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into oval-shaped patties (about 1-inch thick).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties until browned on both sides (about 4 minutes each). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté additional onions if desired until translucent. Add beef broth and soy sauce; scrape up browned bits and simmer.
- Stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Let the gravy thicken slightly over low heat.
- Return patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy for 5-10 minutes until heated through.
