Instructions

- In another bowl, mix buttermilk, sugar, egg, melted butter, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until smooth.
- Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Pipe batter into the donut pan about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix cream cheese with confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled donuts.
