  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (or flax eggs)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup spiced gin extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and spiced gin extract. Whisk until smooth. Add the eggs (or flax eggs) and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and ground spices.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
