- 3 medium yellow onions
- 8 ounces freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon seasoning salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Peel and slice onions into 1/4-inch rings; separate and pat dry completely.
- In a bowl, toss onion rings with avocado oil, paprika, coarse sea salt, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Add parmesan cheese and toss gently to coat each ring.
- Arrange seasoned onion rings in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet (for oven) or in an air fryer basket (for air fryer); do not overcrowd.
- For Oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. For Air Fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Air fry for 8-12 minutes, shaking/flipping every 4-5 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly; serve immediately for best crispness.
