Description

Crispy Beef Broccoli Noodles is a delicious Chinese dish that combines crispy beef, vibrant broccoli, and noodles.

Ingredients

  • Flank steak (or sirloin or ribeye)
  • Fresh broccoli florets
  • Egg noodles (or rice noodles or whole wheat noodles)
  • Soy sauce
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Oyster sauce (or mushroom soy sauce or vegetarian oyster sauce)
  • Fresh ginger
  • Fresh garlic
  • Vegetable oil (or peanut oil or olive oil)
  • Cornstarch
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Start by slicing the flank steak thinly against the grain. Marinate it for about 30 minutes in a mixture of soy sauce, cornstarch, and a splash of water.
  2. Cook the Noodles: While the beef is marinating, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry the Beef: Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Let it sear for about 2-3 minutes until it’s crispy, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
  4. Cook the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and toss in the broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Add Aromatics: Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the broccoli, stirring quickly to avoid burning. Cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Return the crispy beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Add the cooked noodles and pour in your sauce mixture (soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and a bit of water). Toss everything together to coat evenly.
  7. Serve: Once everything is heated through and well combined, serve immediately with your choice of garnishes such as sesame seeds or sliced green onions.
