Description

This Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich combines creamy avocado, tender chicken, and melty cheese between perfectly toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • Cooked, shredded chicken breast
  • Ripe avocado
  • Cream cheese
  • Shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • Sourdough or whole grain bread
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Butter or oil (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mashed avocado, cream cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined. Adjust the seasoning to your taste.
  2. Take two slices of your chosen bread. Spread a generous portion of the chicken and avocado mixture on one slice. Top with shredded cheese.
  3. Place the second slice of bread on top of the cheese, creating a sandwich.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Once both sides are perfectly toasted and the cheese is gooey, remove the sandwich from the skillet. Allow it to cool slightly, then slice in half and enjoy!
