Description
This Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich combines creamy avocado, tender chicken, and melty cheese between perfectly toasted bread.
Ingredients
- Cooked, shredded chicken breast
- Ripe avocado
- Cream cheese
- Shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Sourdough or whole grain bread
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Butter or oil (for grilling)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mashed avocado, cream cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined. Adjust the seasoning to your taste.
- Take two slices of your chosen bread. Spread a generous portion of the chicken and avocado mixture on one slice. Top with shredded cheese.
- Place the second slice of bread on top of the cheese, creating a sandwich.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
- Once both sides are perfectly toasted and the cheese is gooey, remove the sandwich from the skillet. Allow it to cool slightly, then slice in half and enjoy!
