- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, fresh broccoli florets, and uncooked rice.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes until smooth.
- Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken, broccoli, and rice mixture. Stir gently to ensure all ingredients are well coated.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
